Scamming is a form of illegal deception where criminals use tricks, lies, and manipulation to steal money, personal information, or assets from individuals or organizations. It is different then theft because theft often uses force, while scams occur when victims willingly provide their money or sensitive data. Scammers use psychological manipulation, urgent threats, and impersonation to steal money or personal information. 

 

Scamming” is defined as tricking or manipulating someone into giving money or information.

 

Hacking” is defined as breaking into systems or accounts using technical methods. 


While hacking relies on technical access to systems, and scamming relies on deception, both share the common goal of exploiting individuals for personal gain.
